There are approximately 250,000 non-tourists that stay in Israel for long periods who are not entitled to the benefits of the National Health Insurance System.

About 100,000 of these individuals are foreign workers who entered Israel legally and have a mandatory Private Health Insurance which is paid by their employer. This patient can travel to Cyprus through GMS for immediate surgery, on a pre- approval basis, with the surgeon of his choice.
